Microsoft launched the new HoloLens 2 headset at MWC in Barcelona on Monday. Designed for businesses (and not you and me yet), the $3,500 headset is said to be lighter, more comfortable and powerful than the first-generation device that was introduced three years ago.

The mixed reality headset replaces the Intel processor of the first generation with Qualcomm Snapdragon 850. It also boasts double the field of view than the previous version. Other features include an increased optical resolution to 2K per eye.

With the new design, users can easily wear prescription spectacles underneath. The headset also offers improved cooling so you can wear it for extended periods if the need be.

HoloLens 2 is primarily aimed at manufacturing workers, industrial designers and those in the military. But the tech giant has plans to eventually bring the headset to consumer space as well.

HoloLens 2 is now available for pre-order.
