Open OS platform provider Foundries.io has announced that it has garnered significant traction for FoundriesFactory across several market segments, including factory automation, robotics, WiFi security, and global asset tracking.

FoundriesFactory is a secure, customizable embedded Linux platform that enables customers, regardless of size, to develop, deploy and maintain secure Internet of Things and Edge devices for life. It offers support for a range of SoCs, SoMs and single board computers as the starting point for customers to deliver, deploy and maintain software on their own hardware.

Semiconductor IP licensing company Arm has adopted FoundriesFactory to integrate and test software, bringing enhanced security and making it easier for developers to build IoT devices based on the Arm Corstone-700 reference design or Arm Cortex-A5 processor.

Besides enterprise customers, Aeler, Maidbot and Spriteguard are three organizations already benefiting from FoundriesFactory with very different use cases. Aeler said it selected FoundriesFactory to support its commitment to device security throughout the lifetime of its products, regardless of their location.

Additonally, FoundriesFactory has been nominated for the Embedded World Best In Show Software award, and has also been named one of Tech Nation’s Rising Stars 2.0.
