Cisco is buying Palo Alto-based events and logs analytics startup Dashbase to bolster observability in AppDynamics. The company didn’t disclose financial details of the transaction.

Cisco acquired AppDynamics in 2017 for $3.7 billion. AppDynamics empowers enterprises to watch every line of code and understand how their code impacts user experience and application and infrastructure performance, while providing real-time insight into everything going on in digital business.

With Dashbase’s logs and events analytics technology, AppDynamics will be able to further streamline case investigation and the resolution process with support for Metrics, Events, Logs and Traces.

According to Linda Tong, GM of Cisco AppDynamics, the integration of Dashbase’s technology into the Cisco AppDynamics platform will help customers accelerate their digital transformation by unifying and taming the complexity of data across technology, user and business domains.

“We are thrilled to welcome the Dashbase team to AppDynamics, expanding our team with strong talent that has extensive experience building highly scalable data platforms,” she added.
