Dell Launches Latitude 7220 Rugged Extreme Tablet

If you were always on the lookout for a device suitable for extreme environments, look no further! Dell has launched what it claims to be the world’s most powerful and lightweight tablet in its class. Called Latitude 7220 Rugged Extreme tablet, it can withstand harsh environments; from the factory floor to ambulances, desert sandstorms to Arctic conditions.

Starting at 2.93 pounds, the new 12″ tablet runs on Windows 10 Professional (64-bit) with options including the latest 8th Generation Intel Core Processors (boasting up to 2TB of high performance and reliable PCIe solid state drives).

The Latitude 7220 Rugged Extreme adheres to MIL-STD-810G/H testing for protection besides being IP65 rated for dust/dirt and water intrusion. It is also claimed to be drop tested from 4 ft and tested to withstand -20 to 145 Fahrenheit temperatures to support you whatever the environment.

With an enhanced 1000 NIT FHD display with anti-glare coatings, the tablet also features optional dual hot-swappable battery-architecture and on-the-go charging ecosystem for uninterrupted operation. Also, 802.11ax Wifi, global 4G/LTE broadband and assignable RF pass-through options for WWAN, WLAN and GPS mean users can stay connected wherever they are. It also includes access to FirstNet.

The tablet comes equipped with a built-in infrared camera with Windows Hello facial recognition to let users log in into their devices securely.
