Patrick McFadin, VP of Developer Relations at DataStax shares his predictions for 2021. According to McFadin:
- 2021 will be a big year for data on Kubernetes because we will be running everything on Kubernetes.
- It will be a great year for SREs. The term DevOps will be retired in favor of SREs. DBAs will also be upgraded to SREs and CTOs and CFOs who will be declaring it.
- It will be a renaissance year for Cassandra. It’s not just going to be a bigger badder database, it’s going to be new features, new deployment models, it’s going to get closer aligned to cloud-native technologies with Kubernetes.
