HashiCorp Consul 1.7.0 is now available in beta with a new enterprise feature called namespaces.

This feature is said to simplify organizational complexity for enterprises by enabling self-service, governance and operations across many user environments and services. They enable operators to provide self-service through delegation of administrative privileges, HashiCorp said.

HashiCorp Consul 1.7.0 also comes with GCP Snapshot Storage, to enable Consul snapshots (created as backup for disaster recovery) to be stored in GCP. Moreover, the release adds AWS PCA as a certificate authority option for Consul.

Now available in beta, HashiCorp Consul 1.7.0 will soon become generally available.
