Open Source has not only democratized technologies, but it has also democratized the cultural aspect of it, enabling people from all around the world, from all walks of life to create and contribute to open source communities, without having to prove themselves. That said, open source is facing the same challenges that the rest of the world faces when it comes to equal representation, diversity, and inclusion.
