KubeCon is one of the most diverse tech events in the world. It’s diverse not only in terms of representation of open source community but also people. It takes a lot of work to make such a diverse event. We sat down with the co-chair of 2019, San Diego KubeCon, Bryan Liles, Senior Staff Engineer – VMware, to talk about this diversity. We also talked about why Kubernetes is so hard to use, project Octant and the role VMware is playing to help the entire cloud-native ecosystem and not just server its own needs.
