Logz.io has announced that company co-founder Asaf Yigal will now undertake the critical role of chief technology officer, with responsibilities spanning product vision and technical evangelism as well as strategic and business partnerships.

For over seven years, Yigal has spearheaded Logz.io’s product vision and delivery as its vice president of product, enabling the company to establish a unique position in the market as the only unified platform based on open source. In his new role, he will focus significant emphasis on working directly with customers and the industry at large to broaden the awareness and uptake of this approach.

Recent innovations such as Logz.io’s integration of generative AI to rapidly deepen available observability context and delivery of industry-leading data and cost management capabilities are hallmarks of Yigal’s effort to help make observability simpler and more cost effective.

Yigal noted that his expanded responsibilities will include everything from seeking out new integration partners to furthering engagement with the worldwide open source community.

Yigal has served as vice president of product at Logz.io since the company’s founding in 2015.
