Nintendo Is Getting VR Treatment

0

Come April 12 and Nintendo’s build-it-yourself Labo VR Kit will go on sale at $40.

Wondering what the kit is all about? If you happen to combine the Nintendo Switch with Google’s cardboard virtual reality goggles, the end product is going to be the Nintendo Labo VR Kit.

The new kit is said to effectively turn the Nintendo Switch console into a pseudo-VR viewer with a bunch of accessories.

The initial Starter Set + Blaster kit “provides an action-packed introduction to the experience. You can then add to the fun with the Expansion Sets. Or, if you want an even broader experience right away, you can purchase the full Nintendo Labo VR Kit, which features six VR Toy-Con projects in one package,” the company mentions on its official page.

The expansion sets — called “Camera + Elephant” and “Bird + Wind Pedal” — will cost you $20 a pop.

A single “VR Kit” bundle which comprises all the kits will be available at $80.
