The camera module is a little bumped out on the back and the fingerprint sensor is placed perfectly in the center of the back. Well, it doesn’t look as bad as it was but it could have been better.

On the front, Pixel 2 has a 5-inch Full HD AMOLED display with 16:9 aspect ratio. On the XL variant, the display is a 6-inch AMOLED panel with QHD+ resolution. It also has the industry grade 18:9 aspect ratio which results in thinner bezels and a more 2017 look.

Camera And Battery

Google Pixel 2 cameraWe all know that the original Pixel phones featured the best in class camera. Even today, they can easily go toe to toe with most of the latest flagships in the market.

With Pixel 2 series, Google improved the already perfect 12.2 MP sensor of the original Pixel devices by adding features like dual pixel and a wider f/1.8 aperture. The camera is the highest DxO rated camera with 98 points out of 100. Not to mention that the top flagships which come with dual camera setup like Samsung Galaxy Note 8 and iPhone 8 plus are lagging behind with the score of 94 out of 100. Google says that the dual-pixel camera is enough to capture mindblowing portraits and it doesn’t need a dual-camera setup for that.

For selfies, there is an 8 MP camera with f/2.4 aperture and 1.4 µm pixel size. Front camera sensor can also capture portrait selfie shots.

We have already seen what original Pixel phones can do with their groundbreaking cameras. And we expect even better with Google Pixel 2 series.

The original Pixel phones were insanely overpriced for their features. And that was one reason for them not being as much popular as the galaxies and iPhones.

Google Pixel 2 starts at $649 for the 64GB variant but the Pixel 2 XL will cost you $849 for 64GB variant. With a premium price tag, Pixel 2 XL may face stiff competition from the Galaxy Note 8 and the iPhone X.
