What Is Modern Infrastructure As Code | Luke Hoban, Pulumi

0

The idea of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) is not new; it originated back in VM management days to manage software inside of virtual machines. It has not expanded into the cloud with things like CloudFormation and Terraform. However, given the scale and complexity of cloud computing, we need a new approach to Infrastructure as Code. That’s why Luke Hoban, CTO of Pulumi calls it ‘Modern Infrastructure as Code’. In this episode of Let’s Talk, Hoban defines the Modern Infrastructure as Code – both from technological and cultural perspectives. He also stressed the shift towards bringing engineering culture, principles and practices into cloud infrastructure and application delivery space. He also talked about Pulumi 3.0 which was released recently.
