SIOS Technology has appointed Masahiro Arai as its new chief operating officer. In this newly created position, Arai will oversee the company’s day-to-day business operations, shaping its strategic plans, and aligning priorities across worldwide sales, marketing, product management and engineering teams.

He reports to Chairman, President and CEO Nobuo Kita.

Most recently, Masahiro served as CEO of BayPOS where he developed and executed software product and support strategies and led a distributed team responsible for product development, quality assurance, software deployment, and customer support. Masahiro currently works in the San Mateo, California office.

Masahiro said that he is excited to work with the SIOS team “contributing to the growth of a world-class, global organization guiding the direction of SIOS’ high availability clustering software for critical applications like SQL Server, Oracle and SAP.”

Masahiro holds a Master’s Degree in Electronic Engineering, Robotics from Tokyo Denki University.
