Taos, an IBM company, has announced the appointment of Ken Grohe as its chief revenue officer (CRO). Grohe will lead the company’s global go-to-market organization and help position Taos for ongoing growth in key priorities.

Grohe joins Taos after a 25-year career at EMC, where he was VP and GM of the company’s global flash business unit. He spent 3 years as SVP and GM of Barracuda, helping turn the company from a device manufacturer to a leader in providing public cloud solutions.

Grohe also served as CRO of Virident and its acquirer, Western Digital, and was the president of SignNow. More recently, he was the CRO of Stellus Technologies, a division of Samsung, and President and CRO at WekaIO. An international bestselling author, Grohe has served as an advisor to several technology companies, including Zoom and Commvault.

Over the past few years, Taos has continued to advance its cloud services and capabilities while solidifying its strong market positioning, and the company was recently listed in the Gartner Magic Quadrant in recognition of its performance and revenue.

A significant part of Grohe’s new role will be to drive more strategic partnerships across Taos’ ecosystem.
